I only spent 24 hours in Kanazawa, so my time was limited, but make sure to check out the fish markets early in the morning since Kanazawa has some of the finest fresh sushi in all of Japan.

Other Activities

• Kenroku-en
  Considered one of Japan’s three great landscape gardens and defining highlight of Kanazawa.
• D.T. Suzuki Museum
  A contemplative museum with minimalist architecture, dedicated to the Zen Buddhist philosopher D.T. Suzuki.
• Daijoji Kyuryo Park
  Hillside park that makes for the perfect picnic and sunset location.
